I think the babies must have somehow read my earlier post about the lack of grooming in the nether regions, and it terrified them so much they have just decided to stay put. They were scared off by the thought of having to navigate through the thicket, but I guess they missed the follow up post saying I hacked away at the foliage like a pissed off gardener or the Bill Murray crazy greens keeper character from Caddyshack and now it’s okay (it’s not pretty, I won’t lie), but it’s manageable.
They did not get this memo.
I bet they are currently making plans to be home schooled (a one-womb schoolhouse HAR HAR) and just STAY IN THERE FOREVER. AND EVER.
I don’t know how they managed to see the blog through the two-foot layer of whale blubber that currently surrounds them, but that’s my best guess.
That I will never go into labor.
I know I should not be complaining. I know every twin Mom out there who had to suffer a premature birth wants to kill me, I know I should be grateful that in less than 30 minutes I will have reached the 37-week point, and according to my idol Posh Spice: That’s MAJOR.
But still…
I’m ready.
I really do get it, but just think how easy it is now – no crying, no worrying about how much they ate or whether you just fed the same one twice… Enjoy the time that they are continuing to grow and get stronger!
Rachel (who gave birth to my twins at 39 weeks)
oh your poor thing. i really do think the universe makes the end of pregnancy so awful to trick you into *wanting* to give birth. fvck the universe.
i hope it happens soon!!!
I can’t believe you are STILL pregnant. It can’t go on forever, so there is going to be a birth at some point.
Hey man, it’s normal. Especially with twins. I remember hitting 35 weeks and thinking “OK, so they’d be preemies, but for the love of God GET THEM OUT.”
You should get a bikini wax. That’d do it.
How the hell are you still pregnant? That’s crazy!
Maybe they DID see that post and are concerned that Bill Murray is actually right outside waiting for them. That would scare me into staying put for a while longer.
But, hang in there, lady – you WILL go into labor. It seems inevitable at this point. And hopefully very soon. In the meantime, rest up! You’re in for some craziness.
I SO get it. Hang in there, hon. It should be any day now…
Sending you many (and easy) labor vibes!
Ugh, I really thought maybe you’d gone and had them by now!!
I’m sorry!! I don’t have twins (per se) but am pg with a singleton with a 6 month adopted daughter, and I can say that at 35 weeks, the way I feel now is not a good trade to having had a newborn crying and fussing.
HOWEVER, I did not have TWO newborns crying and fussing, and the thought of both babies actually being here (while bending at the waist will be a welcome new thing) is sort of scary, too!!
I’ll think happy thoughts for you. You know how the sick TTC boards always say “baby dust” to people ttc? I’m going to say…”LABOR dust!”
ha ha ha ha!
JessPond,
Can you e-mail me (info above) your blog info so I can check on you, too?
🙂
Come on, twins, it is time!
Labor dust! I think JessPond has a great idea. I’ll sprinkle some on you too.
I know at this point in the pregnancy, you just want it over. Hang in there–you are almost at the finish line!
Hope they are in your arms soon…..xoxo
PS-for every time you mention how much you love Posh Spice they’re going to add another day in the womb just to piss you off.
